Thank you for your interest in Compassion and our ministry to children living in poverty.
Compassion Australia is a Christian child development and advocacy ministry, working in more than 26 developing nations to release children from poverty in Jesus' name. We are distinctly Christ-centred, church-based and child-focused and work exclusively with local churches to deliver our holistic child development programs - programs that cater to children in all stages of life, from pregnant mothers and babies through to young adults and university students.
Founded in 1952, Compassion began by providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and healthcare. Today, Compassion International supports more than 1.2 million children around the world.
Our approach to child development is holistic, starting in the earliest stages of a child's development and continuing all the way into young adulthood. We believe children are the community's greatest resource and are key to addressing poverty. It is a strategic, long-term approach that supports children today and tomorrow and equips them with the skills they need to develop into independent adults, free from the shackles of poverty.
Your Will and Compassion:
If you are reviewing your Will or Estate plans and want to transform the lives of children living in poverty well after you leave this world, please consider including Compassion in your Will. Your gift, no matter how big or small, will mean more than a financial donation, but will leave a legacy of kindness and generosity that will echo across generations. It will be used with wisdom and integrity to transform lives and create new futures for children and their families currently trapped in poverty.
After caring for family and close friends, ask your solicitor about including Compassion in your Will. We are here to offer support and assistance as well. The process is straightforward and if desired, you can nominate how you would like the gift to be used.
