It only takes $1 for us to distribute enough food to feed a family of four for one day.
Without Foodbank Victoria, over 18,000 Victorians a week would go without the nutritional and material basics many of us take for granted.
An excess of $30 million worth of food & material aid is collected and accessed by over 550 community organisations, schools and support groups, state wide. All made possible by the generous support of our donors.
Otherwise, the low income earners, the unemployed, working poor, homeless, people living with disability, victims of domestic violence, sole-parents, refugees and asylum seekers, would continue to struggle with their hardships without adequate relief.
Our KickStart Breakfast program ensures children in traumatised communities are being fed the most important meal of the day.
"..As most of the children/ families are refugees and a lot come from camps, many are not entitled to government support so a lot of the students that are part of the breakfast program have only that one meal per day which is at the school"

KickStart Breakfast Program
Our support extends beyond food and aid to the community. We have over 80 years history of helping the community in their time of need. From the Great Depression to the Black Saturday bushfires, Foodbank Victoria embodies and supports community spirit.
By leaving a bequest in your will to Foodbank Victoria, we can sustain these programs well into the future and you can help achieve a Victoria without hunger.
