Guide Dogs Victoria

Guide Dogs Victoria

Guide Dogs Victoria is a premium provider of Orientation & Mobility Services to Victorians who are blind or vision impaired.

These services include:

- Guide Dog Mobility
- Children's Mobility
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Orientation & Occupational Therapy
- Low Vision Advisory Services

Guide Dogs Victoria provides these vital services at no cost to more than 1,500 Victorians every year.

The primary aim of all our services is to enhance people'safety, independence and quality of life at every stage of their journey.

The need for vision loss service in the community is significant and it's on the rise.

More than half a million Australians are living with blindness or vision impairment that cannot be corrected by glasses or surgery.

This number is projected to increase to more than 800,000 within the next 10 years.

It costs Guide Dogs Victoria $30,000 and up to two years to breed and train every Guide Dog.

However, the impact they make on someone's life is priceless.

With no government funding for the breeding, raising and training of Guide Dogs, the generosity of our supporters is critical to our success.
