You can either engage the services of a solicitor or Will writing professional or you can write your own Will.  Whilst there are many DIY Will kits available, home-made Wills are not always ideal.  You may omit particularly important details, such as what you wish to happen if the main beneficiary does not survive you.  It’s always worth talking to a professional, a solicitor or public trustee to make sure everything you need to cover is included in your Will.

It does though pay to prepare for any meeting with your solicitor and Will writing is no exception. Your preparations may help you to deal with more contentious issues concerning your Will.

“I realised we didn’t have a Will, so we made one.  And I made sure we included Mission Australia right from the start.
My mother always intended to put a charity in her Will but sadly passed away before she could do it.
I was determined not to make the same mistake.”
