Include a Charity Week

Every September, we run Include a Charity Week, which serves as an annual focus for people to take action on writing a will and including a charitable gift in it. We remind people to give their gift to the future for something they really cared about during their lifetime. If you have supported something all your life, this is your chance to be the hero of your own life story. To be immortalised, you could say.

This year’s theme is Plant a seed today… Change the World Tomorrow.

A tree’s life mirrors our own, growing from a tiny seed, standing tall through seasons, and eventually passing on its strength through new life.This year’s theme emblemises how a simple act of giving grows into something profound, supporting various charitable causes that continue to flourish long after we’re gone. It reinforces the long-term impact and generosity of leaving a gift in your will.

More and more people are including charitable gifts in their Will. It has doubled in the last 10 years, since Include a Charity began. This will triple by 2050. It is often the largest gift people will ever make. More than everything they donated during their lifetime put together. It delivers a massive impact for people. Adding meaning and depth to their lives.
