Anglicare Sydney

Anglicare, a trusted Christian organisation, is dedicated to walking side by side with families in crisis, addressing entrenched disadvantage, and caring for those who are isolated or experiencing difficult times. We provide food and financial assistance, counselling, chaplaincy, housing, clothing, and genuine care to those in need.

We began because of people like you. People who saw a need in the community and who were compelled to make a difference. We exist to serve people in need in our community, enrich lives and share the love of Jesus. For over 160 years Anglicare has been serving those in need – providing care and services to the vulnerable. We are proud to be sharing the love of Jesus, enriching lives and strengthening communities in practical ways.

Helping Families and Children in and Through Crisis

Families are the building blocks of a healthy society, and we’re helping Australian families thrive. Weather through providing foster care for children or helping families rebuild after escaping DV, recovering from sickness, job loss or injury we are here to help.

Together Addressing Entrenched Disadvantage

Addressing the underlying issues in vulnerable communities can empower people to weave a new story their children and grandchildren will inherit.

Ensuring the Wellbeing of People, Particularly the Elderly

Australians suffer some of the worst mental health outcomes in our population. We’re out to change that, seeking dignity, joy and connection for every Australian from their first breath to their final one.

A faithful presence, through chaplaincy

From prisons to hospitals to natural disasters – we provide a compassionate and loving presence, attending to the emotional and spiritual needs of everyday Australians. In every dark valley, we’ll be there.
