BirdLife Australia exists to protect Australia’s birds and their habitats. For 120 years, BirdLife Australia has worked to save endangered birds from extinction. Today we are Australia’s largest bird conservation charity, working with scientists, bird enthusiasts and the government to drive the recovery of threatened birds and stop extinctions.

Birds are our connection to the natural world. By tracking the health of birds, we can track the health of the environment. Thanks to our supporters, and to the science that informs our actions, BirdLife Australia has achieved some positive outcomes for threatened species. But we are still facing an extinction crisis.
