Guide Dogs WA

Guide Dogs WA was the first Guide Dog Association in Australia when it was established in Perth back in 1951.

Over 70 years later it is the only organisation that breeds, raises and trains its highly skilled dogs in Western Australia and for Western Australians who need them. As well as continuing to provide Guide Dogs to people who are legally blind, Guide Dogs WA now also provides Autism Assistance, Facility, Therapy and Companion Dogs.

These dogs give the gift of independence and freedom to Western Australians who are living with low vision, disability or illness. It takes more than two years of intensive training to prepare them for their life-changing role where they will provide joy and companionship, hope and opportunity.

Guide Dogs WA relies on the support of the community to provide these highly-skilled dogs. If you would like to help provide Guide and Assistance Dogs to Western Australians who need them in the future, please consider including Guide Dogs WA as a beneficiary in your Will.
