Ambulance Wish Queensland

Ambulance Wish Queensland, a signature program of Palliative Care Queensland, brings together a team of skilled staff and over 120 amazing volunteers to fulfill one last wish for people living with a palliative diagnosis, through our four Ambulance Wish hubs (Brisbane, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba). Each hub works to increase wish fulfillment, promote and deliver community education, increase awareness of palliative care services and foster the growth of compassionate communities in each region.

Using ambulances donated by the Queensland Ambulance Service, our team delivers beautiful wishes tailored to each individual wish recipient. Whether it’s feeling the ocean breeze at the beach, watching a Brisbane Broncos game, visiting Australia Zoo to meet a giraffe, or simply returning home one last time, our team ensure that every wish is filled with dignity and joy.

Established in 2019, AWQ has fulfilled over 200 wishes across Queensland, with over 100 of these wishes in the last 18 months. Wish requests are in high demand, and we need the community’s help to continue fulfilling many more!
