Pete Morton

Pete, a proud Melburnian and father of three, knows firsthand the life-changing impact of exceptional care and support delivered by Melbourne’s The Alfred hospital. One day, his world was turned upside down when doctors discovered a fist-sized tumour in his brain. Pete fell into a coma for two weeks and was cared for by the incredible nurses and staff at The Alfred.

Over the course of his treatment, Pete was also diagnosed with a heart condition by a cardiologist at the hospital. These experiences profoundly impacted Pete, fostering a deep gratitude for the life-saving care he received.

In a heartfelt discussion with his family, Pete shared his desire to give back to the organisation that stood by him in his toughest moments. The family endorsed Pete’s decision to leave a gift in his Will to the Alfred, ensuring future Alfred patients and their families would benefit from the same compassion and expertise. Moreover, Pete’s two oldest daughters decided to do the same.

Through their generosity, Pete and his daughters are not only expressing their gratitude for lifesaving treatment received, but also creating a legacy of care and hope for generations to come.
